The July BAM monthly lunch was held on July, 25th at Restaurante El Capitan. Many thanks go to Joan, Angret and Violette for handling and arranging another great event. See photographs attached.
The August BAM monthly lunch is to be held on Thursday, August, 29th at Restaurante Gran Shanghai, C/Gregorio Maranon, 8. Please contact Violette, 952828988, or Joan, 952835947, at the latest by Monday, August, 26th, if you want to attend the lunch. The cost for the nine course lunch, which includes the tip but not a drink, will be €13. Note; those who do not pre-book are not guaranteed a place. The lunch, as usual, will commence at 1.30pm for 2.00pm,
Due to the closure of the Marbella Pensionista, the coffee morning on Wednesdays during August will be held at the café of the Marbella Inn Hotel, also in Calle de Juan Ramón Jiménez, Marbella. Just up the same road as the Marbella Pensionista.
The proposed trip to the Aspandem Garden Centre in Urbanizacion Nueva Andalucía, has been postponed until the Spring to suit the planting season, etc.
It has been suggested that we organise a trip to Antequera. At this time we are asking for those who may be interested to contact Joan, 952835947, so we can judge the feasibility of such an event.
The AGM will be held in Violette and Tim’s house on 2nd October. As we need an affordable and central location for the lunch following the AGM it was suggested that either the Central café in Orange Square or a tapas bar nearby could be used. The tapas bar would give members flexibility regarding how much they wanted to eat. Violette is to look into prices for us. More detail to follow.
During the AGM committee members are elected for the next year. All current committee members are prepared to stand again. Any other nominations must be received by Joan, 952835947, by September 26th.
Many thanks are given to Eva, who has created and constantly updates a new website and Facebook entry for BAM. Any ideas for additional content would be appreciated.
