The BAM Committee wish all our members a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
The special 2012 Christmas lunch was held on Wednesday 19th December at the Bistrot Casanis, located in the old part of town. We were also joined by several American Club Committee guests and I think we had at least 25 happy eaters!
Many thanks go to Violette for arranging another great event.
The next BAM monthly lunch will be on January, 31st at El Duende. The total cost of the meal, inclusive of starter, main course, desert or coffee and a drink together with a tip for the staff will be €10. When booking your place please state you choices: for starter salad or soup and for main either meat or fish. Please let Violette, know whether you are to attend the lunch, ASAP, definitely before Monday 28th Jan.
At this lunch our Charity donation, a cheque of €400, will be presented to representatives of Triple A. Fully paid-up BAM members may bring one guest.
19 paid-up people went on the BAM arranged Gibraltar trip on Wednesday 12th Dec. I think they bought all the stock that Morrison’s had available!!!
David Dawson’s funeral was held on Friday 21st December, BAM was represented by 3 Committee members.
With all these activities happening in the next month or so now is an idea time to renew your BAM membership 2012-13 BAM. The annual fee is €12. Please see Angret.
Reminder, until further notice the coffee morning on Wednesdays will be at the café within the Marbella Pensionista, 11 Calle de Juan Ramón Jiménez, Marbella.
On 28th February at our BAM monthly lunch our second charity cheque of €400 will be presented to Aspandem.
Currently, we have no firm venues or trips for 2013; however we are preparing to arrange trips to the theatre in Fuengirola and another to include a visit to the Butterfly Park and the Buddhist Stupa in Benalmádena. We hope to arrange transport to and from the centre of Marbella. Details of times and costs will be issued later. Please would you let Joan, know, asap, if you might be interested, so we can price such events
